Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about Emotional Liberation®, sessions, plant medicine, retreats, and courses.
Can I do this alongside medication?
Yes. Nervous‑system regulation work is fully compatible with medication. It operates on a different level of the system and complements pharmacological support rather than competing with it.
How long does it take to regulate the nervous system?
Significant improvements in baseline regulation are typically noticeable within 8–12 weeks of consistent practice. More deeply established dysregulation takes longer, but change is always possible given the right conditions.
How does plant medicine mesh with the Emotional Liberation® work?
Incorporating plant medicine with Emotional Liberation® techniques can open you more deeply to the introspection and insights our work together brings. The experience is designed to connect you with your deep inner knowing – through sacred ceremony, reflection, and integration.
I understand my emotions intellectually. Why can’t I seem to change them?
Because understanding and feeling are two different things – and healing happens at the level of feeling.
The nervous system runs its patterns independently of what the thinking mind knows. You can have complete insight into why you react a certain way and still find the same reactions arising. That’s not a failure of intelligence, it’s a description of how the nervous system works. That’s why the Emotional Liberation work engages the nervous system directly – through movement, breath, sound, and psycho-spiritual inquiry.
If you’re wondering whether this work is a good fit for you, the best next step is a complimentary Discovery Session. You’ll complete a client intake form first, then we’ll meet on Zoom to explore what’s possible.
How long before I notice a difference?
Many people feel a significant shift early in the work – a quality of stillness or release they haven’t experienced before. Over time, with consistent practice, the nervous system tones and the effects accumulate.
Eleven minutes a day is enough to begin rewiring the brain. The practice builds on itself. What starts as relief in the session starts showing up in how you respond to your life.
How does plant medicine support nervous system regulation?
Plant medicine is always optional – and when it is included, many find that it can be a potent tool. Used with clear intention and skilled support, it can accelerate access to the emotional material that’s been defended against. Cannabis and psilocybin are the medicines I work with – and we cover together everything you need to know before going in.
What if difficult emotions arise when I microdose?
That is often exactly what the medicine is doing. Difficult emotions surface because they are ready to move. The Emotional Liberation framework provides the tools to meet and work with what arises rather than be overwhelmed by it. This is why microdosing is always embedded in a guided, structured process in my work, not offered as a standalone practice. You go in prepared, and you do not navigate what comes up alone.
Is psilocybin legal where you work?
I live and work primarily in Portugal, where the personal use of all substances, including psilocybin, was decriminalized in 2001. I also work online with clients in jurisdictions where it is legally accessible. It is always your responsibility to understand the laws in your own location.
How does microdosing fit into your Emotional Liberation work?
Microdosing is a tool within a larger method, not the method itself. Emotional Liberation® provides the framework: the cognitive education, the psycho-spiritual inquiry, the expressive movement, and practices that allow difficult emotions to be processed and released. The microdose, when included, amplifies access to that process. It can help people who are genuinely stuck in the thinking mind find a doorway through.
If this resonates for you and you’re wondering whether working with me is a good fit, the best next step is a Discovery Session. You’ll complete a client intake form first, then we’ll meet on Zoom to explore what’s possible.
Is microdosing right for everyone?
No, and I say that as a clinician. Given the biochemical individuality of each person, some will find microdosing genuinely transformative. Others will find it neutral or unhelpful. A small number may experience heightened Anxiety. It is always optional in my work and never a requirement.
Is microdosing the same as a psychedelic trip?
A microdose is typically one-tenth to one-twentieth of a full therapeutic dose. Any shift in perception is subtle, not disorienting. The intention is to create a gentle opening in the thinking mind so that the emotional body becomes more accessible. You should be able to go about your day normally. If you feel impaired, spacey, or unable to concentrate, the dose is too high.
Can triggers really be resolved, or do I just learn to manage them?
Both – and more. In the beginning, the work is about developing awareness and new responses. You’re building the pause between trigger and reaction. That alone changes everything.
Over time, as you trace the trigger to its origin and work with what’s there at the source, the charge diminishes. Something that used to derail you completely becomes a mild discomfort. Then a passing sensation. Then nothing at all.
Trigger-free doesn’t mean emotionally flat. It means your past no longer has veto power over your present. Feelings still move through you – they just don’t take over.
Why do I keep reacting the same way even when I know better?
Because knowing isn’t the same as healing. The subconscious runs its patterns independently of what the thinking mind understands. You can have complete intellectual insight into why you react a certain way and still find yourself repeating the behavior.
This is exactly why the Emotional Liberation work operates at the experiential level, not just the cognitive one. Understanding the pattern is the first step. Releasing it from where it actually lives is what creates lasting change.
And if you’re wondering whether working with me is a good fit for you, the best next step is a complimentary Discovery Session. You’ll complete a client intake form first, then we’ll meet on Zoom to explore what’s possible.
I’ve tried therapy, self-help, everything. Why would this be different?
Because most approaches work at the level of the mind. They help you understand your patterns, reframe your thinking, develop insight. And that’s valuable. But understanding alone rarely changes the deep emotional patterns that drive behavior, especially under stress.
The Emotional Liberation work operates at the level where patterns actually live: in the body, the nervous system, the emotional memory that formed long before you had words for it. When you work at that level, the change you feel isn’t just intellectual. It’s embodied. It persists under pressure. It shows up in your relationships, your reactions, your relationship with yourself.
That’s what’s possible. And it starts with a single conversation.

How long does emotional healing take?
It depends on what you’re healing from and how long it’s been running. Some people feel significant shifts early in the work, something opens that’s been closed for years. For others, particularly those healing from early trauma or long-held patterns of Shame or Depression, the work is slower and more layered.
What I can tell you is that healing is not linear. And the capacity for change doesn’t have an expiration date. Emotional fluency is a skill. It builds with practice, patience, and the right support. Trust the process and trust yourself.
Is cannabis legal where you work?
I work primarily in Portugal, where cannabis for personal use has been decriminalized since 2001. I also work online with clients in jurisdictions where cannabis is legal. It is always your responsibility to be aware of the laws in your own location.
I use cannabis recreationally. Is that different from what you do?
Yes, significantly. Recreational cannabis and conscious cannabis work share the same substance but almost nothing else. What makes the difference is intention, preparation, dosing, and the container the experience is held in.
While recreational use can offer relaxation, pleasure, and creativity, conscious cannabis work is a different conversation entirely. One that moves toward what has been avoided, toward what is difficult to feel, toward the emotional material that has been waiting for the right conditions to surface.

Can I do this work without plant medicine?
Plant medicine is always optional – and when it is included, many find that it can be a potent tool. Used with clear intention and skilled support, it can accelerate access to the emotional material that’s been defended against. Cannabis and psilocybin are the medicines I work with – and everything you need to know before going in, we cover together.
Do I need to have had a psychedelic experience to work with you?
Not at all. The Emotional Liberation work is complete in itself, it doesn’t require plant medicine to be deeply effective. Many of my students and clients have never had a psychedelic experience and have no interest in one. The tools work at the level of the nervous system and the emotions regardless.
For those who are considering or preparing for a psychedelic journey, this work is ideal preparation. For those who have had experiences they’re still trying to integrate, it provides the framework and support to do that. And for those who simply want to do the deeper work of emotional healing, this is that work.
Can this work help me prepare for a journey I haven’t taken yet?
Yes, and in my experience, preparation is where the real leverage is. Coming before the journey means you build the foundation first. The Emotional Liberation method conditions the nervous system, builds emotional fluency, and helps you develop the inner vocabulary to work with what the medicine shows you. You go in ready to receive it. And more importantly, ready to hold it afterward.
And if you’ve already journeyed, that foundation can still be built. It’s never too late to do the work that makes the experience mean something.
I’ve had a psychedelic experience that left me feeling worse, not better. Can this work help?
Yes, and the path forward is clearer than it might feel right now.
What the experience opened still needs somewhere to go. The Emotional Liberation method gives it that, working at the level of the body, the nervous system, and the emotions to process what was stirred up and help it move through rather than stay stuck.
This is precisely the work I designed for people in this position. The body holds what wasn’t resolved. With the right tools and support, it can release it.
If you’re wondering whether working with me is a good fit for you, the best next step is a complimentary Discovery Session . You’ll complete a client intake form first, then we’ll meet on Zoom to explore what’s possible.
Will feeling again be overwhelming?
It’s the most common fear people bring to this work. And it’s a reasonable one.
The Emotional Liberation method doesn’t flood you. It works carefully within your window of tolerance, building the capacity to meet what’s there before asking you to go deeper. The goal isn’t to unleash everything at once. It’s to help your system learn, gradually and safely, that it can feel without being destroyed by what it feels.
Most people find that the return of feeling, even when it includes Grief or Anger, is a relief. Because aliveness, even the complicated kind, is better than the silence
How does plant medicine mesh with the Emotional Liberation work?
Plant medicine is always optional – and when it is included, many find that it can be a potent tool. For emotional numbness specifically, it can soften the protective layer that shutdown has built, allowing what’s been stored beneath to surface and move. Cannabis and psilocybin are the medicines I work with – and everything you need to know before going in, we cover together.
Is there value in doing this work with others who are also awakening?
Yes – and in my experience, profoundly so. There’s something that happens when people who are genuinely navigating similar terrain come together. Not just sharing stories, but doing the actual work side by side. Witnessing someone else move through something you’ve been carrying. Being witnessed in return.
My group masterclasses, retreats, and ceremonial gatherings are built around this. The healing that happens in community accelerates in ways one-to-one work simply can’t replicate. You’re not just learning from me – you’re learning from everyone in the room. And the recognition that comes from being truly witnessed by others who know this territory from the inside is its own kind of medicine.
Does this work require plant medicine or psychedelics?
Not at all. Plant medicine is always optional in this work. Many people navigating spiritual awakening have never used psychedelics and have no interest in them. The Emotional Liberation method is complete in itself, working at the level of the nervous system, the body, and the emotions regardless.
For those who do work with plant medicine as part of their spiritual path, this method provides the preparation and integration container that determines whether those experiences lead somewhere real.
I’ve had a spiritual awakening but I feel worse, not better. Is that normal?
Yes, and more common than you might think. Awakening doesn’t erase the emotional material that was already there. In many cases it makes it more visible. The Anxiety, the Grief, the Shame, the old Anger, it can all surface more intensely once the defenses start to loosen.
This isn’t the awakening going wrong. It’s the invitation to go deeper. The Emotional Liberation method is specifically designed to work with exactly this – helping you meet what’s surfacing, process it, and integrate it into a life that actually reflects what you’ve seen. Not by flooding you, but by working carefully within your window of tolerance, so the process is as efficient and effective as it is sustainable.

How long does it take to heal from trauma?
It depends – and honesty matters here more than reassurance
For some people, the shift happens relatively quickly. For others – particularly those carrying complex, layered, or developmental trauma – the work takes longer. The deeper the roots, the more patient and consistent the process needs to be.
What doesn’t change is the body’s capacity to heal. That doesn’t have an expiration date. What’s been stored can be released
The Emotional Liberation work harmonizes with your needs, whether there are areas in your life that simply need tending to or there are deeper issues you would like to explore in order to process and release.
One of the most powerful aspects of this work is that it happens in community.
Group masterclasses, retreats, and ceremonial gatherings create a dynamic that accelerates healing in ways one-to-one work simply can’t replicate – people learn from one another, and there is profound medicine in witnessing and being witnessed.

What if I’m scared of my own anger?
That’s more common than you might think – especially for people who grew up around someone else’s uncontrolled anger. When rage felt dangerous in your environment, your nervous system learned to fear it in yourself too.
Part of this work is learning to distinguish between anger as a signal and anger as a weapon. You can feel it fully – all the way through – without it destroying anything. Over time, the nervous system conditions itself to hold that intensity without reacting. That’s not just possible. It’s what the work teaches.
Anger is your power. The goal isn’t to get rid of it. It’s to learn to use it well.
How long before I see real change in my anger?
It depends on what the anger is protecting – and how long it’s been running. Frustration and irritation that’s situational can shift relatively quickly. Rage with deep roots – years of suppression, repeated violations, old wounds – takes longer.
What changes first is awareness. You start to catch it earlier. You notice what fires it. You recognize the pattern before you’re already in it. That’s not a small thing. That’s the beginning of real change.

Is this religious or tied to a particular spiritual tradition?
No. And that distinction is important.
My work draws from yogic science, esoteric teachings and practices, not as doctrine, but as maps. Maps drawn by those who explored the inner landscape long before modern psychology had language for it, and who found, through direct experience, the same truths the research is now beginning to confirm.
There is no belief system required here. No dogma to adopt. No authority to defer to, except your own. What I teach and guide is a form of self-therapy that makes you the highest authority on your own inner life. The destination is always a deeper, more honest relationship with yourself, transcending the emotional pain that has, all.
I’ve had a powerful experience I don’t understand. Can Becca help?
Yes, you do not have to be alone in this. You’re sensing something opened, whether through a spontaneous awakening, a moment of inexplicable stillness, a loss that cracked you apart, or a plant medicine experience. And now you’re trying to find your footing in what it left behind.
This is some of the most meaningful work I do. Integration support is available, and we begin where you are. The best first step is a complimentary Discovery Session, a chance to share what happened and explore together what kind of support would serve you most.
What is psychedelic integration?
Psychedelic integration is the process of making meaning from a psychedelic or plant medicine experience, translating what surfaced into conscious understanding, and then into how you actually live.
Most integration support stops there. It helps you understand what happened. It gives you a framework for the insights. And for many people, that’s where the work ends… and where the experience quietly begins to fade.
My Emotional Liberation method goes further. We work with what the experience stirred up – the emotions that surfaced, the old material it disturbed, the new possibilities it glimpsed. And most important, I help you build the capacity to navigate your existing life, the relationships, the roles, the dynamics that were built around the old version of you – while something new is taking shape inside. That gap between who you’re becoming and the life that hasn’t caught up yet needs informed, experienced support.
How does spirituality relate to emotional healing?
In my Emotional Liberation framework, they’re deeply interconnected. Emotional healing at its deepest level involves loosening the stories and identities that emotional patterns are built around, which is also the territory of spiritual inquiry. Many people find that as their emotional work deepens, it naturally opens into questions of meaning, consciousness, and self.
What is spiritual awakening?
In my experience, spiritual awakening begins closer than most people expect – in the difficult emotions they’ve been trying to outrun.
The Anxiety, the Grief, the Shame, the Anger, the Depression and others. These are not obstacles to awakening. They are the map. Each one is pointing somewhere. And when you learn to follow where they lead, rather than manage, suppress, or medicate them into silence, they become the path toward the deep inner knowing. That quiet, steady intelligence that has always been there, waiting to be heard.
That is where the Soul lives. And when you learn to commune with it, to sharpen your intuition, to trust what arises from within rather than searching for answers outside yourself, that is spiritual awakening. Not a moment. Not a destination. A way of moving through your own life.
Can I access these practices without working 1:1 with Becca?
Yes. The complimentary monthly Elevation Ceremony (where cannabis is always optional) is open to everyone and is the most accessible entry point. The Emotional Expansion Master Series offers the full framework in a self‑paced course format with regular live group interaction. One‑on‑one sessions are available for deeper, personalized support.
How often should I practice?
It all depends on your desire fro change. In the Emotional Liberation method, the practices are tailored to the seven difficult emotions we study. Each one is designed to stir a specific emotional layer so it can be processed and released. Knowing which emotion you’re working with is part of the practice as it gives you the language to understand what’s moving and why.
The daily kriyas and inner awareness practices are designed to be done daily. About eleven minutes. That consistency is what conditions the nervous system over time to meet what arises rather than defend against it.
The Elevation Ceremonies are different. A single session is an invitation to put your toe in the water, to feel what it’s like to access the emotional body with intention, to soften the defenses, to sense what’s been waiting underneath. It’s a glimpse, not a commitment. But for many people, that glimpse is enough to know they want to go further.
How is ceremonial cannabis different from recreational use?
The difference lies entirely in the approach… intention, set, setting, dose, and integration. The same substance used casually for relaxation becomes a therapeutic tool when held in a structured ceremonial container with clear emotional intention and support. Becca’s cannabis work is grounded in this distinction.
Do I need experience with meditation to benefit?
No. Becca’s meditation and inner‑exploration practices are accessible to both beginners and experienced practitioners. The focus is on active inner engagement rather than passive sitting, a style many people find more approachable and more effective than traditional “silent sitting” mindfulness.
What does a personal session look like?
Sessions take place over Zoom and are tailored to your needs. They typically weave together emotional processing, somatic awareness practices, and active breathwork. The first session is an intake conversation focused on understanding your history, what you’re navigating, and what you want to move toward.
What is Emotional Liberation?
Emotional Liberation® is a structured, experiential method for working with the emotions that keep running your life. Not by managing them, but by understanding what they’re for and releasing what they’ve been carrying.
It begins with the thinking brain. Most of us were handed rules about our emotions, not an understanding of them. We learned to manage, suppress, perform. Nobody showed us what they actually are.
From there, we go into the body, through psycho-spiritual inquiry, expressive movement, and breath and body-based kriyas, reaching the level where the patterns actually live. In the nervous system. In the energetic architecture that yogic science and esoteric teachings have understood for thousands of years. Plant medicine, when chosen, deepens that access further.
The premise is simple, and radical: your difficult emotions are not the problem. They are the medicine.
What if I have a difficult experience?
Challenging moments are a natural part of plant‑medicine work. They don’t mean anything has gone wrong. My facilitation is intentionally designed to hold emotional intensity and create a safe container for difficult material to surface and be processed. And what happens after is as much a part of my facilitation as what happens during.
Do I need prior experience to work with you?
No. I support people across the full spectrum – from complete beginners to those with extensive experience who want structured integration. The starting point for everyone is a complimentary discovery call.
Can plant medicine be combined with psychiatric medication?
This is something we evaluate together, carefully, before anything else. Some combinations require caution or are best avoided entirely – particularly with SSRIs, mood stabilisers, and other psychiatric medications. Cannabis interactions tend to be less acute but still warrant attention. I always recommend consulting your prescribing clinician, and I won’t move forward with any facilitated experience until we’ve reviewed your full medication picture together.
Is plant medicine the same as psychedelics?
Not exactly. Plant medicine is a broader category. It includes cannabis, which is not a classic psychedelic but which, used with clear intention in a supported setting, can access profound emotional and spiritual territory. It includes psilocybin, ayahuasca, peyote, and other entheogenic plants that have been used in ceremonial contexts for centuries.
My work centers primarily on cannabis and psilocybin – not because the others lack value, but because these are the medicines I have direct training with, deep facilitation experience in, and an evidence base I can stand behind. And my focus is always on emotional healing and integration, not the pursuit of peak experiences for their own sake.
Is plant medicine legal?
Legality depends on your location and the specific substance. Cannabis is legal for medical and/or recreational use (referred to as adult use) in an increasing number of places. Psilocybin remains a Schedule I substance in the U.S. and is controlled in most countries, though decriminalization and therapeutic pathways are expanding. Becca’s facilitation work always operates within applicable legal frameworks.
Is this relevant if I’ve already done therapy?
Yes. Many people come to this work precisely because therapy has helped but not been enough. The somatic and plant medicine lens addresses layers that talk-based approaches do not always reach.

Is this the same as burnout?
Overwhelm and burnout are related but distinct. Overwhelm is a state; burnout is what chronic overwhelm eventually becomes. Read about burnout →
What if I’m too overwhelmed to even begin this work?
Start very small. The first session is often about simply creating a baseline of regulation — nothing intense, nothing demanding. The work meets you where you are and builds from there.
I don’t feel much of anything. Is that a problem if I’m functioning fine?
The fact that you’re asking the question suggests something in you already knows the answer. That recognition is worth paying attention to.
Life isn’t meant to be endured. It’s meant to be felt. Emotional numbness keeps you just functional enough while the real cost stays invisible: a quiet sense of meaninglessness, relationships that feel surface-level, a life that looks right but doesn’t feel like yours.

Is what I’m feeling Grief – or Depression?
Grief and Depression can feel similar – both involve heaviness, withdrawal, and a sense of loss. But they have different jobs. Grief is a response to something specific that has changed or been lost. It moves when it’s allowed to. Depression is less about a specific loss and more about a general collapse of aliveness and meaning.
Will this work even if my loss happened a long time ago?
Yes. Grief doesn’t have an expiration date – and neither does the capacity to heal it. Some of the most significant shifts I’ve witnessed have happened in people who had been carrying a loss for a long time, and who had started to believe the sadness was simply part of who they were.
And if you’re wondering whether working with me is a good fit for exploring this, the best next step is a complimentary Discovery Session . You’ll complete a client intake form first, then we’ll meet on Zoom to explore what’s possible.
What’s the difference between Fear and Anxiety?
Fear and Anxiety are close relatives, they live in the same family and share the same nervous system. That family runs from the milder end, confusion, doubt, indecision, overwhelm, through Fear itself, and on to the more intense expressions: Anxiety, panic, and terror. Each one is calibrated to the energy needed to handle what’s in front of you.
In the Emotional Liberation work, we learn to identify which member of the Fear family is active, what it’s pointing to, and what it needs. That’s where resolution lives.
Whatever you’re experiencing, this work can meet you there. And if you’re wondering whether working with me is a good fit for you, the best next step is a complimentary Discovery Session. You’ll complete a client intake form first, then we’ll meet on Zoom to explore what’s possible.
I’ve had Fear my whole life. Can it actually change?
Yes. I know this because I’ve lived it myself. And because I’ve supported people who carried Fear for decades, who had tried everything before finding this method.
Depending on the degree of wounding, this process takes time, patience and a willingness to feel the Fear rather than run from it. But the capacity for change doesn’t have an expiration date. And the peace that comes from working through Fear rather than around it is real and sustainable.
I’ve carried Shame my whole life. Is it really possible to change that?
Yes. And I say that not as reassurance, but because I’ve seen it happen – in people who had carried Shame for decades, who had tried everything, who had stopped believing change was possible.
Shame feels permanent because it’s woven into identity. It doesn’t feel like something you have – it feels like something you are. That’s what makes it so resistant to conventional approaches.
But it’s a pattern. And patterns can change. Not through willpower or positive thinking, but through the kind of experiential, body-based work that reaches where Shame actually lives – which is exactly what the Emotional Liberation work is designed to do.
The timeline varies. Some people feel a significant shift early in the work. For others – particularly those for whom Shame has been a lifelong companion, woven through early experiences and repeated wounds – the work is slower, more layered, and asks for more patience. That’s not a limitation. That’s the nature of healing something that runs this deep.
What I can tell you is that the capacity for change doesn’t have an expiration date.

My feelings feel very close to the surface. Could this work make it worse?
It’s one of the most common fears people bring to this work – and it makes complete sense. Nobody wants to feel worse.
Here’s the truth: most people avoid their difficult emotions because feeling them feels dangerous. But unfelt emotions don’t dissolve – they build. The goal of Emotional Liberation® isn’t to push you into the deep end. It’s to help you develop the inner strength to meet what’s there – without drowning in it and without shutting it down.
Our tools condition and strengthen your capacity to feel. So instead of depression running you, you start to understand what it’s signaling – and why. Students and clients consistently report that this is the most efficient and effective way they’ve found to actually resolve depression – not manage the symptoms, but release what’s driving them.
I’ve tried everything. Is there actually anything left to try?
Yes. And the fact that you’ve tried a lot tells me something important – you’ve been working at the level of the symptom, not the root. Most depression treatment does. It manages the experience without touching what’s generating it. When we go underneath – to the unexpressed grief, the buried anger, the places where your aliveness went quiet – things that haven’t moved in years can start to move. It’s what my students report, consistently, after doing this work.
My anxiety feels very close to the surface. Could this work make it worse?

How quickly do people notice a difference?

I’m usually in a state of fill-in-the-blank (stuff like: anxiety, anger, depression, self-doubt, guilt, sadness), and it’s usually close to the surface. Am I going to be able to manage in this course?
My mission and vision is to offer the most efficient and effective approach to your emotional recovery, so I personally give you the tools and teach you the skills that put you in the driver’s seat. This is vitally important because when we begin inviting up our feelings – and I’m not going to sugar-coat this – it can be very unsettling. So I teach you how to self-adjust so that you can manage yourself to optimize your experience and healing; you’re always in control. In addition, the group offers a remarkable dimension of support and compassion as each student does this deep inner work.

I’m wrestling with addictions, is this a program that I should be considering – given that you optionally include cannabis and psilocybin microdosing?
A person becomes addicted to something because they’re trying to numb the hurt of underlying psychic wounds. They don’t want to feel the hurt so they use a variety of coping mechanisms that includes substances like alcohol and drugs.
This is the opposite of what we do in our emotional recovery work – where we open to the emotions that are troubling us so that we can feel them. The judicious and intentional use of microdosing psilocybin and cannabis can support and amplify this process. Having said that, remember that including these substances is entirely optional and you always have the choice of trying them later if that calls to you.
I’m uncertain about doing this work in a group
Your privacy is Becca’s utmost concern. When you participate in group experiences confidentiality is the surest way to build a field of trust among individuals. Refund and Cancellation Policy
A 50% refund (beyond the nonrefundable deposit) will be provided on cancellations between 60-89 days prior to the start date of the booked retreat. A 30% refund (beyond the nonrefundable deposit) will be provided on cancellations between 30-59 days prior to the start date of the booked retreat. No refund will be provided on cancellations 29 days or less prior to the start date of the booked retreat.
No refund/credit will be provided for premature leaving of the retreat or failure to arrive at the retreat for any reason.
Trip cancellation insurance is always recommended whenever making travel plans. You can use our suggested Travelex Insurance online to get a quote and choose policy options.
If we find that the trip is not a good fit for you, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation, in which case your payments will be fully refunded.
We reserve the right to cancel the trip if it is not meeting the trip minimum. (If we do so, you will be refunded in full.)
Are children allowed to attend the retreat?
Our policy is that only adults age 21 and over can attend the retreat.
If I can only come to part of the retreat, can I still join?
It is not possible to arrive late nor leave early from the retreat, as this disrupts the group dynamic and the flow of programming. Furthermore, energetically, we cannot be responsible for what may occur should you choose to leave early.
What should I bring?
• Positive attitude and open heart
• Your Passport
• ONLY biodegradable soaps, shampoos, etc
• Yoga pants, loose fitting pants, and capris for fluid, easy movement are always a good choice
• Swim suit and cover-up
• Sandals and walking shoes
• Sun hat
• Light jacket, sweater, or wrap for evenings
• Reusable spill-proof water bottle
Where do I fly into? What’s the best way to get to the retreat villa?
You have several options:
• The main airport in Southern Portugal is the Faro airport (airport abbreviation is FAO), which is about 50 minutes away from Lagos.
• Fly into Lisbon and connect to a flight to Faro and then train to Lagos (1 hr train ride).
• Fly directly into (FAO) Faro (with the Algarve’s popularity, more airlines are offering this). Then take a train or bus from Faro to Lagos.
• Personally, my favorite is to fly into Lisbon and then take the train or bus (a leisurely scenic 3 to 4-ish hours) to Lagos.
Are there any medical staff on site?
This environment is essentially a leisure retreat. Please be aware we are not a medical facility and have no medical staff on site. Our retreats are an immersive well-being experience and not equipped to care for guests in need of medical attention. Our retreat is designed to help cleanse the body, mind and soul and give you the opportunity to leave feeling unburdened, lighter, refreshed and alive.
We ask that our guests with medical conditions consult with their doctor prior to booking with us. Guests are also required to agree to our full terms and conditions prior to their stay, which states that they accept full responsibility for their own health.
We want to optimize your experience. The items below can negatively affect your experience with psilocybin.

What dose of psilocybin will I take in my journeying?
All doses are customized to each participant. There are many factors that determine the exact weight of dried medicine you’ll take. We have a 1:1 pre-retreat session as well as your full honesty/disclosure on your registration to help inform dosing.
You can be confident that regardless of your experience (or no experience) with this plant medicine, you will be fully supported and guided in every aspect.
Please note: Sacred medicine and teachings are not for sale. Your economic contribution helps support the expenses associated with hosting the event and supporting the endeavors and livelihood of the facilitator(s).
Is a psilocybin session safe?
Yes, but of course there can be critical circumstances that need to be checked first. We carefully screen the health condition and medications of our participants to ensure that we can safely provide psilocybin.
Additionally, rest assured that Becca is a highly trained and experienced facilitator and guide. She is experienced with the medicine and is able to create a safe space of support for all participants equally. Psilocybin is generally very safe when working with it responsibly.
How does the plant medicine mesh with the Emotional Liberation Work?
Incorporating the plant medicine with the Emotional Liberation techniques opens you more deeply to the introspection and resulting insights brought about by our work together. This experience is designed to connect you with your intuition through sacred ceremony, reflection time and integration.
When we complete the retreat, you’ll have insights and tools to take with you to continue your healing journey. I also offer a 1:1 post-retreat integration session (included) so that you and I are able to touch base in the weeks to come. You are not alone in this journey and my team and I are honored to support you in this transformative experience.

We typically host retreats during the spring and fall in Southern Portugal. These seasons are very mild – with both being sunny and warm. It’s balmy enough to relax poolside or on the beach during the day, with a light layer for evenings out.
[/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
What’s the location of the retreat?
Our accommodations are based in Lagos. Address will be provided upon registration.
Do I need to use plant medicine in doing this work?
Absolutely not. This work can be done with or without plant medicine. The experience of previous and current participants in their own words is that their experience is “enhanced” by microdosing as it opens them more deeply to the introspection and resulting insights brought about by our work together. You can be confident that if you decide to include plant medicine, regardless of your experience (or no experience) with these substances, you will be fully supported and guided in every aspect from effective protocols to convenient resources.
How much time do I need to put in to fully benefit?
As a clinician, I know that changing behaviors is challenging because it requires you to disrupt a current habit while simultaneously fostering a new unfamiliar set of actions. You will ease into this transformation as your new behaviors start to become automatic. During the time we’re together our group processing will nurture and strengthen your awareness so you can apply your new tools and skills in your everyday life. It will become the way of your new life.
Do I have to use cannabis/psilocybin MD in this Emotional Liberation work?

Countless people around the world use the practices that I guide without any outside substances. It’s always up to you. Having said that, many who work with me find the amplifying effects of intentional cannabis and/or psilocybin MD take them to the places that they have not been able to access before.
